This study was done of a pure bred white wolf that I worked with in Canada a few years ago. I had the opportunity to work with this wolf, in a compound, for a full day of sketching and taking photographs. This is reproduced from one of the oil sketches that I did when I returned to the U.S. The wolf is being considered for reintroduction into Yellowstone National Park as a final element to the ecosystem. The last recorded wolf eliminated from Yellowstone was in 1935.
