I observed this pair of wolves in Canada; they are the alpha male and female of a pack. All the time that they were in my view, the female never fully relaxed, and the male seemed dependent upon her vigilence. Both remained at the edge of readiness. These two animals are the same pair that I used in my painting, Reflection.
