Morning finds these bighorn sheep peaceful and at rest. The ram is unchallenged and at ease with the passive ewe. Their setting is rocky, cold and crisp. Only during the mating season can they be found like this. Once the season has passed, the pregnant ewes will herd together, and the rams will go their solitary ways.
