Hi Morten: It has been a while since I last corresponded with you about a possible workshop in Shreveport. Like everyone, we have had to deal with a death in the family and various other things so I am just now getting back to corresponding with everybody.

A friend of mine and I are seeking out a place in Shreveport where I think you could conduct a workshop. We will be checking with Bass Pro Shop in particular and a couple of other places that might work out.

I hope you are happy in Florida. You lived for a while not too far from where I grew up in California (Solana Beach). I miss the ocean very much, but find a slower way of life here in the south. It has its own charm ... we have been here 20 years this year.

Watercolor is and always will be my favorite medium. Right now I am experimenting with different techniques and that is always a thrill for me.

Take care and I will be in touch soon. Thanks. Jeanne

Hi, we own three prints and I am trying to find out how much they are each worth for insurance purposes. Is there a way I could find out from you? Thanks, Julie 5/2/08 - Responded.

My wife and I have been great admirers of your style of painting. We have three of your prints, Innocent (Fawn in stream), When Winter Warms (Polar Bear), and Year of the Eagle (Bald Eagle with large fish). I wish we had more wall space! 4/26/08 - John, thank you both for the nice comments. Keep dropping by for visits and see the new work.

Could I reserve "Monarch of the Sky"? I could afford a downpayment and a final payment at Christmas. I used to own it and my ex-wife got it in a nasty divorce. I love this print. I hope we can work something out. 4/18/08 - Responded.

We own Monarch of the Sky - Golden Eagle 256/950 signed by the artist and Jim Fowler. It's framed and triple matted. Would you be able to provide me with an estimated value? I believe we paid about $300 in 1987 or so. 4/6/08 - I have "Monarch Of The Sky at $350 unframed.

I have played at painting since I was a child and I remember the first time I saw your work. It was in a small store in Pickering, Ontario. I stood for as long as the owner let me before he got uncomfortable I think he thought ill of me with no purchase. I was young and didn't have the money at the time to purchase one but have always dreamed of it. It has been a long time since I have seen any of your work due to where we live. It is a 100 miles as the crow flys south of James Bay. My husband just happen (so he says) on your site trying to inspire me. He cleared and built me a professional easel set up a small studio in my basement, and now that life has settled and slowed maybe I can get back to it. I have no pictures to send you to look at my work, for I sold them all. Good thing and bad. A word of encouragement would be appreciated. I seem to sit and stare at that blank paper and nothing comes out. I then get mad and go upstairs to watch tv. Love your work always, Ruby Marlow. 3/27/08 - Ruby, I face the fear of starting a painting. I hate to start a new painting especially when I have nothing in mind, SO________ I take a blank sheet and put out fresh colors and get a large brush and close my eyes and start by putting large, very wet blobs of color in as interesting a composition as I can and hope something takes form, and after about the third try when all of the right side of my brain takes over, PRESTO!! It happens. It sounds like your husband supports your endeavor very much. That's half the battle. Just don't wait for the magic. It only comes when your already painting.
03/15/08 Dianna Lynn I have #234 of 1250 print of Nomad of the Ice. It is unframed and in mint condition. Could you give me an estimate of its worth? 3/16/08 - Dianna, "Nomad of the Ice" is $600, unframed.

I wish to sell a framed To the Victor print (1287/1500). What is the best way to go about it? 2/19/08 - What seems to work for most is eBay, or you can put an ad in the collections section of the classifieds of your local paper.

Dear Mort, We bought a signed and numbered Across the Tundra print from a second hand store where the fellow who put it in there needed money right away as he was leaving the area. We would like to know the original price. We absolutely love it and wouldn't sell it on a bet. We lived in Homer, AK for 4 years in the 70's and it calls to us through your print. We have just gone through your copious work and admire your work so much. A friend of ours has also admired this print that we have and wanted to purchase one also, but we see that they are unavailable. He is out of luck, but will probably purchase something else that you do have available when he gets home (he plans to go online and look). What a wonderful talent you have! We are delighted to own one of your splendid pieces. Sincerely, Laquata & Scott McDonald 2/8/08 - Laqueta, Welcome as my first Guest Book visitor for 2008. "Across The Tundra" originally sold for $135. The edition size is 1000 and it was published in 1985. The last price I have is $300 unframed last year.
