At the edge of the water on an outcropping of rock, a pair of wolves lies resting. The female has seen a movement across the water, possibly a loon, and watches with reserved interest.

Right now there is a movement to reintroduce wolves into the ecosystem of Yellowstone National Park, where they were eliminated more than 30 years ago. We have come to look upon the wolf with new respect and realize that is a natural part of a healthy ecosystem. Their absence has been our loss.
